Hello! My name is Marwa. I'm from Cairo, Egypt. I worked as an Arabic instructor for non-Arabic speakers at Arabeya language center from 2017 till 2019.
I really enjoy communicating with my students and inspiring them to achieve their goals of learning Arabic through activities that are developmentally appropriate, individually paced and personalized to each student's level and interest.
• I'm also TAFL certified instructor and I teach both MSA (Modern standard Arabic) and ECA (Egyptian colloquial Arabic).
• My methodology:
Each program is designed to reach out all of the student’s needs. I prefer using the communicative approach by adopting the materials with extra interactive activities to help students grasp the language and use it in semi real situations to improve their linguistic skills: speaking, writing, grammar, reading and listening.
• My goal of teaching:
I work on facilitating the language to the learners and encourage them to use all of what they learn to their best ability in and outside class.
• Materials
I use all of the different material according to the course. For example, the modern textbooks of teaching the Arabic language, such as Al-kitab 2nd & 3rd editions from Georgetown University press, Lughatuna Al Fusha from AUC press & for the Egyptian dialect we use Kallimni Arabic series from AUC press. All of that in addition to our free materials designed according to the student’s needs & aiming to enhance the student’s participation in class & moving them forward in their language learning
You can choose one of the 3 following programs:
- MSA (Modern standard Arabic).
-ECA ( Egyptian colloquial Arabic).
-Survival Arabic for travelling.
Note: MSA & ECA programs are available for students of all levels (from beginner to advanced).
- I don't teach politics , religion and sex topics.
My classes are always will prepared and I use communicative approach in teaching.
Also, note that if you HAVE studied Arabic before, you need to let me know of your exact level is, such as where did you study, what books did you use and so on.
